[MEMBERS](https://support.clinked.com/members?hsLang=en) # Basic Member Capabilities Each Clinked group has **3 member types** to use depending on our planned use of Clinked: - [**Group Administrator**](https://support.clinked.com/group-member-capabilities-group-administrator?hsLang=en) (“Group Admin”) - [**Standard Member**](https://support.clinked.com/group-member-capabilities-group-content-contributor?hsLang=en) (“Can Contribute”) - **Basic Member** (“Basic Access Only”) This article will explain the capabilities of a **Basic Member** at the Group level.  #### Basic member capabilities on version 2     Basic members have the following capabilities in a group: - [Group Home](https://support.clinked.com/group-member-capabilities-group-member-read-only#GroupHome) - View the group homepage and any available widgets - [Group Content](https://support.clinked.com/group-member-capabilities-group-member-read-only#Groupcontent) -  View Only unless permissioned otherwise ### Group Home Capabilities A basic member has access to: 1. View and change their personal profile settings 2. View discussions and their replies unless permissions have been set to private 2. View the past activity of a discussion 3. Comment/reply on private discussions, but **only** if they are permissioned to by the discussion owner 4. View the attachments of a discussion, but only if they are permissioned by the discussion owner 5. View the event summary by clicking on it on the calendar 2. View the event detail by clicking its name on the summary 3. View the comments and reply 4. View the past activity on an event 5. View the tags of the event 6.
