How do Email Notifications work in Tasks & Events?

Tasks and Events notifications are important to keep up with task assignments, schedules and important meetings within a Group. To ensure you are receiving these notifications, we'd like to review how to set up both in this article.

Both Events and Tasks notification differ slightly. Use the links below to quickly navigate to your preferred area to explore:

Notifications in Events

Event notifications are designed in Clinked to be sent when a Group Member has been invited to the event. Otherwise, the event will be visible in the Events calendar for all to view unless it's been permissioned for only invitees to see.

However, if a Group Administrator would like to have all members receive notifications of all events (and other content) created in the group they can enable to Group Setting of "Configure new content notifications for members" to allow all members to get notifications on all new content. (note: this will generate an email and portal notification each time a new piece of content - files, folders, notes, discussions, tasks and events - are created.

Below is a view of where this option is:

When this is enabled in the group settings, all group members will receive an email notification for that event like the one below.

Notifications in Tasks

Task notifications are designed in Clinked to be sent to a Group Member assigned an individual task. Otherwise, the task will be visible in the Task Board for all to view unless it's been permissioned for only Assignees to see.
