QuickBooks Integration
QuickBooks integtation makes it easier for account or group admins to share invoice documents with members directly inside a group.
The QuickBooks integration allows members to upload invoices from QuickBooks into the Files section in Clinked as PDF files.
This makes it easier for account or group admins to share invoice documents with members directly inside a group.
What does the QuickBooks integration do?
The integration creates a connection between the Clinked Files section and a member’s QuickBooks account.
Once connected, members can select an invoice from QuickBooks and upload it into Clinked as a PDF file. The uploaded invoice will then appear in the group’s Files list and can be opened like any other PDF file in Clinked.
Unlike some file-linking integrations, the selected invoice is uploaded into Clinked. This means the PDF is hosted in Clinked after it has been uploaded.
There are two parts to using the QuickBooks integration:
- A super admin must enable the integration for the account
The integration needs to be enabled from the account settings before members can use it.
- Members must connect their QuickBooks account
Each member who wants to access invoices from QuickBooks through Clinked must connect their own QuickBooks account.
Please note that QuickBooks may require a paid subscription.
How to upload a QuickBooks invoice to Clinked
- Navigate to the relevant group or portal.
- Go to the Files section.
- Click the arrow-down icon next to the Upload File button.
- Select QuickBooks from the dropdown menu.

- The QuickBooks selection window will open.
- Browse the available invoices.
- Select the invoice you would like to upload.
- Click Select.
- The selected invoice will now be uploaded into the Clinked Files list as a PDF.
Once uploaded, the invoice can be opened in Clinked like a regular PDF file.
How permissions work
QuickBooks invoices are uploaded into Clinked as PDF files.
After an invoice has been uploaded, it becomes a separate file in Clinked and is no longer directly controlled by QuickBooks. This means access to the uploaded PDF is managed through Clinked permissions.
If an updated version of the invoice is required, it will need to be uploaded again from QuickBooks.
Important notes- QuickBooks invoices are uploaded into Clinked as PDF files.
- Once uploaded, the invoice is hosted in Clinked.
- The uploaded PDF is separate from the original invoice in QuickBooks.
- File access is managed using Clinked permissions after upload.
- Each member must connect their own QuickBooks account to access invoices from QuickBooks.
- A paid QuickBooks subscription may be required.
- The current integration is designed for uploading invoices from QuickBooks into Clinked. Additional functionality may require further review depending on the use case.
